Issues about Coursera Viewer for Windows 10

Recently, Chris, one of my customer, reported to me that Coursera Viewer is not working on Windows 10.

Turn out Windows 10 changed my apps user interface so that it do NOT pop up for the credentials anymore. Obviously, the app needs you credentials to work. Here is a video on how to specify the credentials.

Thanks again, Chris, for your feedback. You are a great help!

What's the word?

I remember I studied the Spanish word for wallet.

What is it? What is it? Damn it ... if I see it again I will know.

Okay - we have all gone through this when learning a language, we learn one word, we forget two. Only if we manage to put that word into our long term memory, then it is ours, or it will just fade away as times goes by.

So how do you put it into your long term memory? You practice. This is what this app is for, by doing a few exercises every day, you will remember. This is the Spaced Repetition technique, a research proven successful strategy for remembering vocabularies.

Download here to see for yourself.

By the way, the Spanish word for wallet is la cartera. Word hard and remember!

What's the word Privacy Policy

My app, What's the word (Windows Store), does not collect or publish any personal information.
If you would like to report any violations of this policy, please contact us at eg_ayh@hotmail.com

Setup What's the word database

Learning is most effective when you manage your own database of words. You could just download my database and get started, but you will not be able to answer if you have not learnt the word yet. Similarly, if you have learnt  some words not in my database, you will not be able to practice that either.

It is really easy to setup the database - since you are already here - you have already setup your DropBox. Use your excel, open your DropBox folder\Apps\What's the word\exercise.csv and add your words in. Put the hint on the left hand side and the answer is the right hand side, save that.

That's all your will need, swipe back to your app and you will be able to do the exercises right away!

Update the file anytime, every time the app starts it will download the latest version on DropBox.

Note! Don't put any comma in the hint or answer.

Coursera Viewer New Release

This release comes with a simple but handy feature - now you can hold you surface upside down and still see the videos list in your orientation! This can come particularly useful if you have to connect your headphone with USB and you want that line on your left.
